Would I be *way* out of whack to request a sampler? I created this new thread, since I'm not asking the same question as has been posted. I'm all for a "sampler" module, but what about a sampler expansion card? I would think it'd be the same as the current expansion card, but also have extra memory, and a FLASH storage space for samples, maybe 32MB or so.

This (I think) solves the "where to put samples" problem, the memory limits associated with a sampler like this, etc. I know it would create a few new problems for the developers (like have 2 sets of different hardware), but think of all the things you could do with a sample, not just as a sample, but as math tables, or impulse responses.
