Online music services? |

Well, I'm gonna bite the bullet and start putting my music up on some sort of musician's hosting servce - a latter-day MP3.com. I don't have CDs to sell, I just want a place to put my music.
Can anyone recommend one to use or stay away from?
Ironically.. I'm not interested in recording, much - but it's impossible to establish credibility as a performing artist without some sort of recordings as a resume. So I gotta do it. |

Yeah,
http://www.mixposure.com - no idea how good they are, they have a cool rating system that gets you a lot of reviews it seems.
http://www.electromancer.com - has some cool artists as well, the GUI and rating systems are rather outdated, though... but this might suit you

And Mosc is offering space in the Artists Corner here, as well!

I like the name Artists Corner. Good suggestion.
The Artist Forum is a prototype that never got developed. There is no real offering, but I've set these up foro artists that I know and who were interested in exploring it. I'm not sure where this will go. Maybe I'll open a thread on the electro-music.com forum to discuss this. _________________ --Howard

Ah,
I was quite sure I saw a post by your hand flash by asking whether people were interested in their own little corner of Electro-Music Cyber Heaven.
My bad!

http://www.ic-musicmedia.com/
^ promotional style of hosting site, has charts, good browser ect. Users can stream or download tracks. Can have 10* 128kbps MP3 files (any length each) for free or theres an upgrade option ect.
Ive used it for about 6 months and had no probs.
