Hmmm. Thanks Topp. I hope you didn't mind me asking about a mod before the boards are even available. I've just been thinking about this sort of functionality being useful for awhile and saw, what I thought to be, a great amount of similarity between the DSG and the Buchla circuits, actually before even looking at the circuits, and more just from looking at their functionality. I don't know if I've seen the Buchla circuit yet, actually.
I had also stumbled on the Emu VC Lag on Emulator Archive, and the scan of the PCB pattern somewhere as well; Also the EMArchive and MOTM PCBs. But have always thought that with the similarity between all of these, it would make sense, functionally, to combine all of their attributes into one module. IE a VC lag with a end out and trigger in...
Anyway, whatever, theres room for ADs and Dual Slopes.

Twin-X: I ordered four but I think I'll only use two. So if there aren't any left I can probably spare two of mine.

Well I'm going to have to wait also (for a second run- if it happens?). My mother-in-law died just about 3 weeks back now, and I've forgotten everything about everything that has gone by in the last month, including ordering of these boards.

Life's short. Enjoy it while you can! Very Happy

Sorry to hear that - tough one...
Certainly puts synth diy into perspective, although a hobby like this is also part of enjoying life. Is for me anyway.

I'm rambling, just wanted to say sorry for your loss...

Thanks C Smile

It is tough. The worse part is all that thinking about the disappearance of consciousness. Only two weeks before I was talking to her on the phone, but I was also trying to hurry up the conversation because I was in the middle of yet another university report. The worst thing is coming to terms with the fact that this was the very last time you will ever speak to one another. Vivien was also getting dementia- that all started mid last year/ summer. I don't know what is worse. Loss ie death, or loosing your memory, so you don't know who you are anymore.

(Sorry for the OT guys Smile )

ok well i was waiting for something from Mosc/Buchla before checking back in here- haven't heard anything so i decided to contact Buchla myself via phone- and he gives it the go-ahead.

i was pretty (understatement?) nervous on the phone with the guy, but i explained as much as i could about this whole deal and the forum and all and told him that Mosc (who he seemed to remember) had emailed, so perhaps now he'll get an email reply.

I missed this!

So if Don Buchla turns up on electro-music.com in the next few weeks to say 'Hi folks' and hang out with us, we can all thank you?

i made a list of all the published spec.s i could find a while back- don't know where it got to, but when trimmed 'properly' with no CV in, minimum Att and Dec times are 1ms- with -5V CV input, it's as snappy as 200uS, which is pretty snappy i guess, right?

hey there, thanks for the interest. unfortunately as the title says, the boards i ordered are all spoken for. i have had a few PMs from individuals requesting some, and all i can say is: if the folks who have reserved theirs for some reason back out of their order, offers will be made to those who have inquired in the order they have inquired.

so, there is a chance, but i can't make any guarantee. sorry about that.

by the way, to everyone who has ordered- sorry about the delay! it is taking longer than i had planned. i am just as anxious to get these as anyone else. these things happen i guess-

but so long as no money has changed hands and no promises have been made, we can all stay cool Cool . think i might try a new supplier next time. this order was pretty small potatoes to these guys, and i don't think it has been a priority item, but i trust them, and as a gesture of good faith, i am waiting for them to deliver. more when they get here.

i just got back and i am really beat. i.....am........ hitting......the .......... hay now....................................................

hey Etaoin if you wanna sell 2 PCBs to twin-x that's cool, but FYI i have gotten a few emails since i 'sold out' requesting boards before Twin-X posted, so if you want to give a couple you reserved up, they should rightly go to the next in line- but you can buy them and resell them if you like, it's up to you.

i'm just trying to honor requests in the order i have recieved them is all, to be fair. thanks alot,

josh

Josh,

The most natural thing to do is to run another batch as obviously there is alot of intrest for these boards. Wink

But i don't see you speak about this anywhere.
So will there be another run?

Regards,
Jeffry

I'm interested in one if there is another run. I always notice these PCB runs too late.

Yep, I could use some of these. I have been so busy I never even looked in this thread. I hope there is a second run.

well, there's hope. i got an email from the supplier saying that they have produced a sample for my evaluation- i was surprised because i didn't ask for one [there has been a bit of a lag in communication] but it may well be a good thing- more than likely the production has yet to be done pending this evaluation, so i am now inclined to add quantity to the order [if it is possible] in lieu of the recent interest.

so, all late-comers: please PM me with your desired quantities- and please reread the thread, it will probably answer any questions you might have.

thanks

so...im just gonna throw this out there, sorry if this is a little "piggyback-ish", but...

if anyone plans on doing a faceplate in dotcom format, i'd pay up to $30-40/piece for 2 of these, assuming they are silkscreened. please drop me a pm if you plan on such. thanks!
