I need more midi ports (4 or 5 ports is all I need), but I'm on a budget....the goal is to stay around $80. It looks like the options are to buy a MOTU Midi Express 4-in/6-out featuring a parallel connection (mid 90's...this is not a USB interface, but from what I've read, the MOTU drivers will still support this on WinXP) or an additional Midisport 2x2 (I have one already, so they'd each be plugged into a different USB port.) Anyone have an idea which would have less latency issues?

I honestly have no idea, but I'd tend to stay away from parallel ports. If you ever use a laptop, it will present problems. I have a Midisport 2x2 you can borrow to see if it works well enough.
