Never done a stripboard layout from schematics. I know there are some free sw for it, but dunno where to start. Is there any of you so kind to help me with this?

http://ljunggrenaudio.com/products/3XVCA/3xVCA%20schematic%201.0.gif

I'm looking to do that on stripboard and put in my eurorack.
Hope this insn't unfair, since the schematics are online, and I only want to build one or two for my system.
Any help is much appreciated!

EDIT: If you are going to build this one, please read all the 3ad in order to follow alla the changes made at the project. Many thanks to Nardu, who made the job!

there is a demoversion of "Lochmaster"
https://www.electronic-software-shop.com/forums.html?seo=demo-versionen

in the demoversion u cant save ur drawings, but u could do screenshots

cheers

ps. : why triple vca? it leaves one half of the 13700 unused, may make it 2x2?

If you're looking for software, then check out DIYLC. Good for vero, perf and PCBs.

Thanks for the reply g.gabba,
I'm not able ATM to develop a new schematic for a 2x2, so I'm trying to draw a stripboard layout for this tested one

in every of the 3 VCAs in the schematic is written Ljunggrenaudio.com
just leave the one on the bottom out
so u will use one LM13700 and two tl074 to build two VCAs

A stripboard version for 2X VCA 64x92mm. Almost finished.
I used LochMaster - http://www.abacom-online.de/uk/html/body_lochmaster.html

Not finessed !
Here with potentials
I used IC2, IC5, but with the pins renumber. Pins IC3 are the same.
Instead of D1,D2,R1,R2,C1,C2,C3,C4 I have used 2 ferrite bead. I will complete pcb with this pieces too.

@g.gabba, I use for pcb design Sprint-Layout 6.0 from Abacom http://www.abacom-online.de/uk/html/body_sprint-layout.html .
It's simpler and more productive. Export Gerber files, Drill data (Excellon), Isolation milling (HGPL, .plt), bmp, jpg, gif, emf. Print all layers with option.
All you need to produce DIY pcb; press&peel, toner transfer, CNC milling, plotter, PCB manufacturing... China!
Here is an example

hi nardu, iam also using sprint-layout Smile

Do u guys know how the 13700 behaving when the CV is negative?
they just quiet or they get damaged? Since there is no protection against negative CV in the Schematic i could imagine that they just go quiet.

And If they do so u could pimp this dual VCA further to a Ringmod with a switch.

Hi Nardu,
you are so kind Smile Thank you for sharing all this info and the panels and so on!
This is a nice present for the community !

I've a question about sprint-layout. Is it also possible to draw the schematics, and then let the sw do the p'n'p layout for toner transfer method?
This would be really interesting indeed!

cv2 input goes to the output of IC2D
and
IN2 input goes to the output of IC5C
so it will be a double switch

ONLY if the anwer is YES to:

oh, sorry I was unclear ...
I was meaning if it is possible from schematics to have components layout and traces.

For example, from this:

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

to this:

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

this way I can use toner transfer method for make my pcb
thanks

Of course, it's possible, but because it is off topic I will answer in detail here - http://electro-music.com/forum/post-428482.html#428482
