Heya,

So I'm in Reaktor, and I find a nice synth buzz that sounds good to me and I want to use it for a drum-like sound. How do I go about adding an envelope on top of this? I know that there is some module that emits an envelope, but what about accepting a signal and multiplying the amplitude to get a good envelope? That's how I do it in PD.. Max probably works the same way.. That doesn't seem to work in Reaktor. I try these things out and I just got bogged down by all the different data types that are not interchangeable in Reaktor. Does anyone have any good example patches I can look at?

there are multiple ways to this within reaktor. the attached picture shows one way of doing it. there are only two logically different kinds of signals in reaktor. you have audio rate signals (denoted by a black dot at the connection point) and control rate signals (denoted by a red dot).
in general you are allowed connect any black do to any black dot. and any red dot to any red dot. what i refer to "control rate" can also be called event signals.
the built in envelopes accept an event at G input and emit an audio rate signal. so all that must be done to shape your audio source is to use a multiply module. (found within the math category)
since the emitted envelope is already at audio rate no conversion is required.
if you simply must convert an audio rate signal to an event. or vica versa.
there are modules that will do so under the auxiliary sub menu.
hope this helps
