2 songs by Seraph: Minor Sample 2 + Lonesome |
 |
|
a new song uploaded today:
Minor Sample 2, actually two but the second one is not new: Lonesome.
the first one is smooth (Mosc won't like it) the second one is not (Mosc will like it).
Minor Sample 2 has been inspired by my new Yamaha P90 digital piano: I love it plus a combination of hardware and virtual synths.
Listen to Lonesome

OMG, I like em both.
Lonesome is nice. I felt compelled to play along with it on my HandSonic - throwing in little accents and stuff.
Hate to disappoint, but of the two, I like Lonesome the best...
Someday I'd love to jam with you, Carlo. I think we would be able to match tunes. |

Hi Seraph
you told me to check your latest composition and I did.
Frankly it does not seem your best effort at smooth jazz. It's very static, it does not move much. Other songs have modulations and more timbral variety nonetheless it's easy on the ear. Were you trying to be "radio-ready" |

I have been listening to contemporary adult music (like VH1 stuff), smooth jazz, "night music", whatever you call it. Have you I don't think so otherwise you wouldn't say that. To be smooth you can't be too "variegated". You can call my song "sophisticated elevator music" if you wish, I don't get offended and btw I wish I were "radio-ready" _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Hi Seraph
I like this Minor Sample 2 thingy. It's cool! I wish I could program jazz like that. I'm a bit confused though. I seem to have downloaded another song by you called just 'Minor Sample' but it's exactly the same. What gives?
I like loads of your stuff as it happens. My favourite is probably 'Flipper Clipper'. That's really good fun. Nite Vision is great. It's the soundtrack to every 80s cop movie!
The only one I don't like is 'Indialuna'. The Indian voice sample doesn't work with the music at several points in the melody. It sounds as if you go the scale wrong or something, imho at least.
Cheers

it sounds good Seraph. It's got a good deal of lively rhythm. (reffering to Minor Sample-2)...I don't like much Jazz-sounding stuff too, but that sounded pretty cool.
