"Division with remainder" function building block, based on audiorate counters. Eg., the calculation of "6/1" equals 6 samples calculation duration etc.

Dividend and divisor have to be positive-going numbers. A inputted logic high flank engages the calculation. A logic gate goes high when the results (quotient and remainder) are ready, stored in two S/H modules.

A divisor of zero will let the calculation hang in there for ever. (It takes a while to count out infinity Laughing). Just re-engage with a more "substantial" divisor value.

6,4% cycles count, 9,4% memory.

cheers,
tim

Addendum: Since the range of the Clavia numerical system is -256 to +256 Clavia units, 256 is the highest possible result. 96000/256 equals 375, so actually you can clock the circuit constantly at 375Hz and always get reliable results. Hey, that's better than the control refresh rate of most synths. Smile

sweeping dividend and divisor with LFOs makes funny noises.

It plays nice sequences when set to a slow clock too!
