Nord Rack 3 Program Change |
 |
|
Hi All,
My Nord Rack 3 won't react on a program change. The MIDI Global Channel is 1 and Program change is set to send and receive. But if I change the program via a master midi keyboard or in Cubase 5, nothing happened. Playing the Nord Rack 3 thru Cubase s no problem.
Is there a setting I have to change?
Regards,
Mark |

Hi Wout,
Again, about the program change. When I set the Nord in performance mode, the program change is working and the Nord is skipping through the performances while changing a program or patch on my master keyboard or in Cubase 5, but in program or patch mode it won't, strange.

In performance mode werkt het prima, heel vreemd. | [translation]I've checked using a Midi monitor and it appears the Kurzweil sends Midi CC 32 and the Program Change. (See attachment) It works fine in Performance mode, very starnge.

Is the PrgCh set to send and receive?
If so, try Global Midi channel 16...

Hi Wout,
It works!!
Is this standard on the NL Rack 3, because as far as I know I don't have this with other synths.
Thanks for the solution.

Don't ask me why, but it seems always be the solution to all Clavia synthts: Global Midi Channel 16! Or at least a number higher then the ones used. 16 is mostly the highest...

That is, Program Change messages on the Global MIDI Channel will select Performances, not Programs. | Which explains it all That's why channel 16 always works... Uh, almost.
