Subject description: 7 Days of Continuous Non-Stop Live Music by electro-music artists !
Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

Calendar Event: June 7, 2010 - June 14, 2010

Announcing the first 24/7 Live electro-music Concert!
June 7th to 14th 2010!!
In an effort to fulfill a dream of the founder Howard Moscovitz of a streaming station that plays live music 24/7, we are going to attempt it for a week.

Seven Full Days of LIVE MUSIC by some of the most prolific streaming artists here at the site!

The music will be improvisational electronic and electro-acoustic music in a live collaboration of musicians from around the world simultaneously.

Composing the foundation of the concert will be Blue_Hell , Jfox, and Phobos who are all well known here for their champion-length performances already on the public and main ports.

If you are interested in joining into this 24/7 marathon of a concert and adding to the wash ... drop a line in the thread. We will be using this thread to coordinate the logistics of the project itself.

Onward Idea

I will be joining in and out for extended periods of time ... as long as I can hang on to the stream. Unfortunately my server makes me reconnect every 12 hours. Looking forward to it and great start to my summer vacation!

I'll join in from time to time. Does that mean I don't do some of my shows?

Nope... will be on the Public Port, so no regular shows will be interrupted.

QUESTION:

I plan to provide wind sounds and an evolving drone.

My plan is to put noise on one stereo channel and the drone on the other. I thought to do this because I'm sure someone will be mixing all of these sources and there may be times that the mix person would want only the drone, only the noise or both together.

Is this a good thing for me to do or should I limit my content to either the drone or the noise?

I think you should just play how you feel it Scott. Its hard say since I havent heard your sounds. It depends on how noisey is noise and so forth. Instead, just keep in mind ... when improvising with others , its like a conversation. So, whatever you bring small or large... people will react to it accordingly as the see fit. If you think it sounds better panned... then do it. If not , dont worry about it.

What Shane said Cool

And you can always discuss in the chat about what would work best for the current situation.
