Thanks so much! This will really help, and I'm really excited to try it out!

I am assuming that the manual control is the power source to the V+... is that right?

Shall we use 1N5224 2.8V Zener diode or 1N5233 6V, as stated in schematic ?

Thank you.

Use the 6V zener. I need to update my parts layout. Sorry for the confusion.

I may have to do a bit of fine tuning... if nothing else I will try smaller cap values, since it's pretty easy to get way too much portamento going.

Can you get on/off effect with 5V steps from a sequencer ?
Buchla CV are 0-15V ?

Cheers,

ff

You can get on/off effect with 12V steps from an CGS step sequencer !
Slew pot fully ccw.

I've added a pot on cv input, and put 33kR in parallel with 68k input resistor to have a cool range curve.
But I have to invert the incoming cv signal because positive voltages reduce slew fx...

I've measured 0,002v offset at the worst potentiometer position !
I use it on v/o

Two midi transposed klee voices ; you can hear 218 slew on the higher one. oakley vco + hot input 291 and a lot of 292.
3 minutes, and maybe not the better sample as an illustration, but,
That rocks !

Is there anything I can replace the 1N5233 with?

I`m sure any 6V zener (or close enough) would work.

Curious if these could be used to make a DIY pseudo buchla 255?

no, I'm sorry, that would break every DIY rule in the book. you can't use this vclag and an attentuverter to mimick the functionality of a 255.

hahaha, no I wasn't asking for permission. I was just curious if my thoughts were correct, which it sounds like they are. Sometimes buchla descriptions of their own modules are cryptic. I wanted to make sure I was thinking about it in the right way.

i have it working but the only issue is that the working range of the pot is maybe 7-10. before 7 - nothing happens, then it starts slewing

did anyone experience that? should i put the negative rail instead of a 0 on the CCW lug?
