2 NM's / only 1 expansion |
|

Hello - it's been a while...I just hooked my NM1 kybd and recently acquired rack together for the first time! The expansion is currently in the rack. My thinking is that it would be best in the keyboard, but I'm curious what others have done in the same situation. Thanks! Greetz! |

I've moved an expansion from the the rack to the keyboard before. Very easy. Just open them both up and it should be easy to see how to do it. |

Thanks for replying - the question was more about if there is an advantage to having it in one or the other when using together as a pair. I will probably move it from the rack to the keyboard but I was just curious if anyone had an opinion. |

Do you know that you can buy the expansion boards for the Nord Modular 1 from Encore Electronics?
They aren't cheap, but we all didn't jump into this hobby because it was cheap. _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. Last edited by cappy2112 on Wed Feb 18, 2015 9:24 pm; edited 1 time in total |

As the expansion just adds extra polyphony, it's probably more useful in the keyboard, assuming you'll be using it to play notes _________________ Jez

If I'm not mistaken- doesn't it allow you to play more complex patches?
I seem to remember some patches not working on unexpanded NM1s _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |
