A short preview.
For this demo I made a small drum synth (dsp-D8 ) after Jan Ostman. |

I checked out the video. Nice.
I checked your other YouTube video listings and saw a basic synth sequencer video too.
Do you have anything on here about that?
By the way your build picture looks awesome. I can't seem to keep mine that neat. No matter how much I plan I still get a rats nest when I'm done. |

@Cfish: The sequencer you are referring to is cannibalized, but i'm planning to use the parts for an analog/midi sequencer module to be built later on.
In the video above the sequencer is connected to a basic drum synth, but I plan to make it more universal so I can use it as a frequency devider, or metronome, so maybe I should call it a programmable rhythm sequencer.
Mind you: in the picture above, only the powerlines are placed (and some data) so it will get more "messy"as I progress.... |

I would love to see more on this as you progress.
The arduino programming is way beyond me at the moment. Trying to get a firm grasp on the basics of analog before I move in to micros. Am using arduino on my midi to CV converter, but my brother did all the programming for me. The projects on this site keep tempting me more and more to start moving towards the modern. |

And now its time for some serious programming.

A short 'proof of concept' demo
in this video I clock the sequencer extern and use just one of a
eight channels on a dual adsr with the noise generator and the vca.
it gives a nice drum like sound, but since it is recorded with my phone the sound quality it not uhm... the best there is |

That is looking awesome.
The hole project on your work bench in the video looks great. Would love to see some more posts and video links about it. |

Damn the idea to use a diodematrix to show the pattern is so damn good - it could be mine,
toping up: two in a row to have 16x8 and bicolor to show the actual step ^/v lane. |

I'm a bit further in programming this module.
At this moment I have a clock division, 8 channels individual settable going from 0 (no triggers) to 255 (once every 512 input pulses at the trigger input).
Max output frequency is 2.5 kHz (5kHz input freq.)
Choose between internal or external clock (ext clock also triggers when internal clock is chosen). Additional to this I have a switch, when toggled to left it acts as a trigger button to advance one step and toggle to the other side it acts as a reset button which makes the rhythm counter reset to 0.
When internal clock is chosen, tempo can be set from 50 mSec (1200BPM) to 9990 mSec (6 something BPM) in 10 mSec steps.
Rhythm creation, max 255 step, 8 channel, on the fly. I must admit, it's kinda hard to create a nice rhythm
To test this I have made a drum synth, very much like the one described a few posts up.
DRUM <<klik (sorry for the background noise...) |
