Quote:
can't say much about it (yet) but it creates some nice patterns.
(it doesn't create the sounds)

Intriguing thinking
No sound, so it must be some kind of sequencer/trigger module...

well, I didn't say it doesn't make any sound just not what you hear in the video,
but that's a bonus feature anyway. Its main purpose is to pass butter what you see in the video.
It's more or less a prototype for something so an explanation on how it works will come at some other time.

Very Happy I had forgotten about SETI, used to run the software.
Hmm, now I wonder if the SETI data can be used for music somehow. (SETI wren module ?)

SETI module .. o_O .. that seems like a very complicated way to generate noise .. I mostly just use

Code:
output := 1.0 - Random( 2.0);

Laughing

ButI /did/ have a look at the docs for the data sets ...immense amounts of data .. .what struck me most is that some of that data was just two bits wide .. four valued values ... then .. some was four and some was eight bits .. but nothing more.

That Luna Spectro Display would look spectacular as a dance floor! Mr. Green

But seriously, nice work. You always come up with lovely ideas Pho.

Finished it Smile Mutable Shruthi XT, with Polivoks filter. Some LEDs arrived from Dave, so I was able to button this up.

Nice synth.

Hi all
I built a case today and installed a uZeus and my now ancient Cynare. Also pictured is an In-Progress Quad Bass++ build that I plan to finish wiring this week (if all goes well.)

I miss building and playing with synths, hoping to get some momentum back.

This one is not completely finished, but almost. It is called the lil cmos toolbox and it has some nice features to expand the abilities of my semi modular synths. You can find a list of the different functions in the yt description.

Thanks Phobos! Yes those are Ryk's knobs, I even bought some wooden dowel of the same size to make some more.
You have been doing awesome work here.

Kaputpanzer, very cool. It's a clean professional look too.

Just got to bring the build quality down to a more achievable level for me here.

This is 'uuueeeooo and clangbonk.'

They are a pair of light controlled lunettas, mixed together. Uuueeeooo is a 3 TRI oscillator drone with different base pitches, clangbonk is a decay only percussion with rate and decay control over an XOR From 2 of uuueeeooo's eyes.

Yep, its an old battery case, held together with rubberbands cut from bike tubes. Durable!

I found out my 8 year olds science theme for the term is light and sound, and that was a opportunity waaaaay too good to pass up. Im taking them in tomorrow and will challenge the kids to tell me what each of their eyes do, plus i will have some flashing bike lights (aka optical LFOs) to make the monsters really scream. Ill have a spectrum analyser app and my oscilloscope so if we get to it the kids can use light to manipulate sound and hear and see it at the same time....
