Hello there,

I have just finished building an Echo Rockit, but would like some help troubleshooting, if possible.

The main issue is that I can barely hear any output.... if I turn both the Echo Rockit and the amp up to 10 the output is still incredibly soft. The oscillator is inaudible at low frequencies... I am unable to get the nice low sound as in the demo video here: https://youtu.be/0NDlRXwpS1w?t=137

I only (faintly) hear the oscillator at higher frequencies... I don't know if that is a separate problem, or a result of the low amplitude.

Turning the echo volume up helps a little, but not much. However, it does sound as though the echo / delay section is operating correctly.

If I plug my Noise Toaster into the input, I still have trouble hearing anything, although again I can hear the NT coming through, albeit faintly.

So it is possible that everything is working correctly, I just have next to no volume... although it remains to be seen about the oscillator.

I have rechecked the wiring on the panel 4 times, as well as checked and rechecked component placement on the PCB. I have also reflowed my solder joints on the board and panel, and tried replacing all ICs. I have replaced C19 and C20 with film capacitors of equal value (330pf), and also replaced panel mounted capacitor C6 with a film capacitor of equal value (1uF).

I am attaching the relevant documents for convenience, and the project is here: http://musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth_new/ECHOROCKIT/ECHOROCKIT.php

Anyone have any idea what I should try next? Please let me know if it would help to see any pictures or if you would like me to provide any meter readings. Thanks for the help!

Hey, I'm having the same issue. Did you happen to figure out what the problem was at all?
