heh, ok, added the following to the "currently working on" section of the Wren page:
2021-03-31 : Changed the help for some Envelope modules to explain the function of the inh(ibit) input.
oh, and also really did that - it will show up in a next release.
Then, to ensure a minimum gain, or a controllable range rather, you could use the Scaler or RangeConverter modules - the latter probably the easier one to use (both on the Ctrl1 tab).
Scaler uses a gain and an offset to control the range and the RangeConverter simply sets a minimum and a maximum value.
To understand how such modules work you can use the Value module (from the Utility tab). _________________ Jan

I've been enjoying trying out different combinations of sequencer modules, here is a basic one of Pattern and SeqRandom. Pattern makes it easy to play the rhythm by adjusting steps in small increments.
Modulating frequency and filter cutoffs by just a few semitones gives a nice buzzy sound.

Kind of realized anything can be a sequencer I guess, and in that spirit I recorded a sample from a tape of the Vienna Hofburgkapelle choir. Routed through a sample & hold and RangeConverter then quantized, it modulates the frequency. The LFO that triggers the S&H then also goes through a divider to inhibit the main voice's envelope and add some dynamics.
This makes me wonder in what ways a sample can control a patch in general.

Hope this is not offensive I tweaked the LFO freq and it sounded like an engine so I had to take it to it's logical conclusion. I am on day 1 of WREN; thanks for the snare patch it taught me a lot.
