what's wrong with having both?
i'm not trying to exclude other people's wishes at all. i just think it might make it easier/more convenient for any Clavia people or newcomers. should i put in a disclaimer that it's not THE wish list? just A wish list?
edit: I have added an 'IMPORTANT NOTE' to the top of the list as a disclaimer. |

You can use the MIDI CC send and then assign a constant knob to be controlled by that value. I agree a nice display module would be very nice, but one can get by without it. |
howard, i never thought of that! i've been using a white noise generator and a level multiplier as an "audio scope"....using a midi send module and using a 1 channel mixer tied to the midi send works wonderfully...if i put the cursor over the mixer knob, i can see the values in realtime! i would still like a dedictaed level monitor for control signals (perhaps with a peak hold), but this just saved my ass!

To me your intention seems clear, IMO you're doing a great job, thanks for that.

Yes, thank you for keeping this one on the list!

Along with the Vars, if there was some field you could assign a short text description about each var- I would settle for Flyover help, to avoid (or cluttering the screen.
Not many patches use the Text bars to describe what each var does.
Only a few go to lengths to document them. |

I don't think that cebec ever claimed it was "the" wish list. (Note the disclaimer that begins his post.) My experience with manufacturers is that they do respond to squeaky wheels. cebec's consolidation of wish list discussions does focus attention on some items that have been discussed a lot. I suspect that if Clavia reads this forum at all, this list will amplify some important points. If they don't, someone from this forum could always forward it to tech support, where it would probably speak more loudly than the forum as a whole.
If you have a pet concern, perhaps you want to suggest it be included on this list as a way of amplifying your personal concerns. cebec does ask for "additions/changes/clarifications." Sounds to me like a sincere effort to support the community. |
