This looks like the way of the future. It's like a more versatile TC Powercore. And now you have Waldorf teaming up with TerraTek.

I am still using old Cubase 5 VST 32 in OS 9. What I have seen of SX is utter stupidity. I am buying a dual g4 1.3Gighz just for running my old VST32 even better... and keeping the dual G4 500 for softsynth use. I am not completely comfortable with Logic.. and I am looking into Motu Digital Performer. My main problem is that I have a lot of really huge projects in VST32 and none of these will convert well into SX. So.. seems like I have to keep several DAW setups.. even though I would like to work in OSX and get that new G5. BTW: Just got myself a G5 dual2ghz at work. That box is .... insanely cool.

Well.. in a way.. you really must keep a box that runs OS 9. Old cubase files translates not that well into SX. And you lose the plugs you have etc etc. I guess I have to decide for a DAW platform in X and get a G5 for that new enviroment.. and keep the older projects on the various G4s.

logic is the logical choice for me...runs vst , rtas, au plugs/ instruments and can even run TDM platform if you have the hardware

they took a lot of cubase's innovative 'arrange page' features and have folded that in to logic, as well as having their own inherent way of organizing the DAW process that is very streamlined and effecient .so it is like 'the best of logic plus cubase plus TDM' all wrapped up into one
