i've committed the cardinal sin... i'm posting something incomplete in the complete forum! bad me!

well, as it stands it is kinda complete, as i was asked to produce something swinging for a rapper, so this works as that backing. i'm still working on a lead type thing, although still not sure what direction it'll take. i'm kind of thinking it might be nice to improvise some kind of rhodes comp over the top.

anywho, here you go.

Yup, this is really cool. If the rapper records something over the top of this I would love to hear it.

Cool. I'd add a rap, but I can't think as fast as those guys talk. Laughing

thanks. still umming and ahing about what to add next. i still think the noise needs some refining as well, it's quite overbearing on a loud system... as is some of the percussion that dives down into that sub bass.

i have a few MC's lined up, but i want someone that isn't kow towing to the whole UK hip hop scene's list of creative regulations. Razz

one thing i like to do, which i did for this patch, was to engage the -6 dB pad on the FX Input in each slot.

They're out there somewhere.... Almost every MC I've ever met likes to do that same self-promotion style hiphop with that phat beat and phat bass stylee yo Rolling Eyes

I think you'll just have to find someone a little left of the field, get them really really stoned and then play them the backing and see what happens...

there's a guy called Scroobius Pip on myspace, who i've done a gig with. he's pretty left field and comes more from a poetry back ground than from a hip hop "scene". he's wry, articulate and very left of the usual field.

anyway, i'm experimenting with my own voice through the G2 processors at the moment.
