Yep, I remember you from the gas station, and I've been following your musical adventures through your occasional posts to the Wiard list. I'd love to hear how a Klee sounded in your setup! I expanded the order to 80 board sets, and you're number 80. I'll send you the official confirmation here presently.

I got the confirmation and, uh, confirmed the confirmation, many thanks, Scott.

This device will be going into the case w/my Wiard & Blacet modules, probably even get used live at some point. I'm looking forward to getting it working, I'm always into modules whose functions I have trouble understanding w/o using it, hands-on style!

I would like to commit to a set of your PCB's. I hope you are expanding your run or planning the next one very soon.

I consider myself lucky to have caught a couple of Tau Phaser pcb's off of Jurgen Haible's site which brings me to a good point here...

Group buys are the way to go and thanks for offering one.

Now add me to your list please. Twisted Evil

Hi All,

The original run of 80 has been filled - a few extras will be ordered as well, just to make sure we're covered for any event. I can keep track of a list for anybody who would be interested should any of these board sets become available. Could be a second run may be in the future as well - I've never mentioned this project outside of EM. I thought about it, but the response here overwhelmed my highly scientific guestimation of actual interest so quickly, I just kept mum about it except for here.

Anyway, the proto-boards have been ordered. The Analogue Board should arrive this week. The Digital Board will take a bit longer - it was a tad too large to squeeze into Express PCBs protoboard special, so I had to order an actual production run. I'll post pictures of the boards as they arrive.

Once the protos are proven to work, the main order will be placed.

Once again, thanks to all! I'm pretty excited about this.

Cheers,
Scott

Great news Scott. We are excited also. I am ordering all the parts I need to build the the two boards. I am going to have to kluge together a temporary panel with pots and switches and jacks, to test all the units functions. Lucky I have sacks full of jacks and pots !!!!

Scott, did you send me the latest BOM Question .... I know some trimpots changed which also changed the series fixed resistors. I have to look back on the e-mails.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Bill

Hey Bill,

I've been racking my brain on what to do panel-wise for the proto as well.

Did I send you the latest BOM? Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

I'll get it out to you when I put the changes into rev 1.01.

In the meantime, on the Analogue Board:

R26, R27, R28, R29 change from 10K to 150K, 1% metal film.

R34, R35, R36, R37 change from 1K Trim to 10K Trim.

So, Prophei, one would drop four 10K resistors and add four 150K resistors, and drop four 1K multi-turn trimmers and add four 10K multi-turn trimmers.

I think Bill's working on a much more detailed BOM than what I've supplied (eventually we'll submit a BOM for each board rather than a combined one as well).

That's it!

Cheers,
Scott

Yes, I have some 5 or 7 U blank rack panels. I may use one of them then get jiggy with the drill press !!

OK, I got it now. I will get busy on the rest of the detailed BOM with references. I will do each part list separately for each board since that will be much easier for building purposes. You can graft that into your documentation. I will just use the convenient BOM exporting function from the Express PCB schematic editor and export a text file for use as my reference, then I make the fancy BOM's from that.

The Analogue Board Prototypes are in! I don't expect the Digital Board prototypes for another week or so (they were too large to qualify for the express proto service). Once they're in, the proto test can begin, and once they're confirmed, the main order will be placed.

In the meantime, didn't Andy do a fabulous job?

Good question!

The Digital Board will be 5.85 X 3.9 inches (14.9 X 9.9 cm).

The Analogue Board (pictured above) is 5.00 X 3.6 inches (12.7 X 9.1 cm).

Cheers,
Scott
