I just did a quick price check using the ExpressPCB board cost button, and as long as we do a run of at least 100, manufacturing will be about US$7 each. Add a US$5-10 donation to EM, and postage of about US$5 and you get roughly US$22 per board. I'll need to confer with Mosc and Scott to be exact, (I think there should be a price break if you buy more than 1 for example) but that's a ball park figure. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |

If it will help guage the numbers, I'd like a pair too.
I have to say that Scott makes an ace salesman - a couple of his tracks and we're all thinking "Yes I can use that".
I suspect though that there is another parameter, for which the module does not have a control. Scott's 'talent' dial is set fairly high.....
Great work guys! _________________ Mike |

Aw, shucks, Prof
Actually, my follow-through on this project has been pretty slow, which I apologize for. The latter part of 2007 and 2008 so far has been a real bear for me, projec-timewise. Then that dastardly Studs got me into a new learning curve with the MIDI gizmos. Hopefully everything will even out soon.
Cheeriorios,

I'm thinking definitely 3, probably 4! This is going to require some thought on panel/cabinet design, as well as a drum pad/trigger device. |

Hi!
honestly id like to have 8 in a box
but i think i start with 3 maybe 4..
i didn't understand if i can place my orders here in this thread of will it be in the store
next few weeks i'm rarely in the net but i really don't want to miss this one and the second run of the Klee (if you decide to do one)
is there maybe some kind of newsletter in the store? |

A newsletter is a good idea. Right now, the MPS is in the prototype stage - the boards pictured are a sample of Uncle K's PCB layout design. Those will be tested to make sure everything works as expected. Once that's been confirmed, we'll order a production run and put them in the electro-music store.
Cheerio,

Bill (State Machine) did the parts kit for the Klee. I don't know of anyone else who would be up to the task, and I don't know if Bill has time for this one. You'd have to ask him really nicely, and not be put off by the fact that he would want (and deserve) some recompense for the laborious job that is putting together parts kits.
My function is to get the boards laid out and working. I am so glad it stops there. I don't envy Bill the effort required to get 1000's of parts in the right place, for the right price. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |
