Wow! That's really impressive looking! I love the little analog meters. Good selection of modules, also. |

here's a lame demo. I'm playing a discarded umbrella into a TV that's on fire.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZO7KIf9eLw
It's a bunch of stuff. A bitcrusher, samplerate reducer, a granular sampler/repeater/glitcher, a harsh digital fuzz and noise source. I intend to use it on synts and drum machines too. anything, really. Controls are as follows (left to right):
top:
bitdepth: bitcrush from 8 to 1 bit. things get noisy and ugly and awesome!
samplerate: rate reduction, atari/nintendo-ish sounds, etc
tone: just a big muff tonestack. middle is neutral. right is high boost, left is low boost.
blend: wet-dry blend
volume: makes the pedal vomit kittens
bottom:
grain size: sample size of the granular sampling buffer.
grain mod: modulates the grain sample up or down in pitch
glitch 1 and glitch 2: makes it stutter in different ways. the toggle switch at the top makes the soft-stomp on the right active one or the other of the buttons. _________________ Sonic Crayon DIY effects lab |

That's a sweet little stomper you've built there! Even effects the socks while playing...
Let me have a browse on your site for some schematics |

My projects have been at a standstill for most of the year--for various reasons-- not least of which being complete lack of extra money for parts. But I finally assembled my folding cabinet a couple days ago, seen here with a few semi-built repros. Pretty happy with it; I'm making some progress.

j.dilisio: my draw dropped!
cloudscapes: excellent artwork.
frequencycentral: nice, now you need a MIDI-IR and a MK-x drum machine. Here are mine (the one on the right is an Autonomous Baseline prototype):

It's all happening in Austin TX! I'm getting Mk-x next, acouple of different ones. Not so interested in MIDI, but I'm going to develop a cv/gate interface and maybe some other ideas I've got. Is there a forum for this stuff? |

Yeah, I think we need a forum; I'll take it up with the other guys.

I'm sure there is a (large) happy medium between there and 5KB cameraphone pics. I want to see more of that Buchlone too! _________________ Check out woosteraudio.com |

I don't think I'm going to have a chance to solder anything before the end of the year so here's what I managed to build this year:
ARP Odyssey Dual VCO:
YuSynth Dual ADSR:
YuSynth Minimoog Filter:
Buchla 208 Random Voltage Generator:
MFOS Buffered Multiple:
CGS Utility LFO:
Thomas Henry VCA:
CGS Digital Noise:
Buchla Music Easel Pre Amp/ Envelope Detector:
A massive thanks to everyone that's helped me out this year! |

So awesome to finally see it come together! I also like the big knob on the phaser. Davies, right? I just got the same one in the mail yesterday for my FS1-A. _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |

These are the photos i, personally, have been waiting to see...
Looks like theyve turned out great!
(out of interest, how come the different jacks on the cgs noise module?) _________________

Yes those particular panels were CNC'd by Julian and I'm very happy with them! The other panels are by Schaeffer and, as you can see, Julian's panels are up to the same high standard but are much cheaper. I definitely recommend getting in touch with him if you're thinking about getting some panels made!
The reason for the different jacks on the noise module is because I bought 200 of them for £15 through a group buy over on Muff Wiggler. Compare that to the Cliff sockets on the other modules at 49p each and there's no contest! So far I don't mind having two different sorts of jack sockets in my modular; I have kept the same grid spacing though so if it really starts to bug me I can simply drill bigger holes and put some Cliff sockets in. |

I built that on stripboard from the schematic on Ray's site -I can PM you the layout if you like? I won't be in front of my computer until next week though I'm afraid. |

Thanks Matthias! As you can see, the look of my modules owes yours a heavy debt, so thanks very much for sharing your designs with the community. |
