I must say that the weirdest thing about this app by far is the increasing port number every time you load samples via wifi. Every time I open the wifi connection, the port increases by one.
But I still love it! _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

Do you mean do I use a reference pitch? I don't, really, because I love the way the events slide around after having been played once. But I do experiment with the range of the samples, and also make sure they sound good in reverse before I load them. I have not been using the scales in Gliss atall though, I imagine that a ref pitch makes sense in that context.
But I'm not sure if I have understood the question... _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

I just want to know what pitch samples should be loaded in at for the scales to work properly.
I did a bit of experimenting last night and C looks it works, now i just need to work out how gliss deal with long samples _________________ Jez

I would think that any pitch works OK, as long as all the samples are in the same pitch, or in a perfect octave relationship. I have to try this at some point. _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

yes, this is true if you are only using gliss, but what if you want to use it with something else? _________________ Jez

I suppose you could play around with the pitch range settings, or base pitch in scaleName settings until you have something workable, at least in an improvisational setting. But yeah, for serious work I would start with C as you did, then try A. It's hard to work out what "base pitch" is on the interface itself, I guess a bit of trial and error is needed here.
Have you tried some of the Indian and Chinese scales? I love them! _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum
