nord modular G2 editor DEMO Subject description: Not enough memory to perform requested action. |
 |

Hi all,
after installing Nord Modular G2 editor DEMO, i get an "Not enough memory to perform requested action".
I'm using my new laptop, win7 64bit, 2,5 GHz and 4,00 GByte RAM (3,90 usable...).
on "setup - audio/midi" I'm getting the same message.
does anybody seen this problem?
thank you.

Others have reported that too, yeah, there are some posts around here dealing with the subject - not too long ago even. I think it had to do with certain audio drivers, you can try to disable 'm one by one to see if you can find an offender. _________________ Jan

it's "idt high definition audio codec".
... if I disable the driver, the editor will work ... but audio is not active |

Guys, I wouldn't bother anymore. The g2 demo is deadware IMO. Rally behind the brilliant SONIGEN modular instead!

Maybe Clavia will do the right thing and buy these guys up? _________________ ACHTUNG!

Yes deadware. And it's been deadware for a long time. (or at least it has if you either have a Mac or only a cheap PC. (I have both).
Sonigen's developers hope to support both platforms, and you can use it with an external keyboard. The latter is a good enough reason to support Sonigen, because let's face it, the G2 demo can't be used with MIDI at all. _________________ ACHTUNG!

Really???
I've never had it going with MIDI!
It still doesn't work on my Mac though as well as it works on a PC _________________ ACHTUNG!

Yes, go to Setup, choose Audio/Midi and select your midi controller/keyboard. |

Hi Kla, I had that problem too, after having a new mother board installed. I was realy going nuts about this problem. In the end I updated the audio drivers and that worked. I use a RealTek high end btw. But the free Asio4all driver will work fine too. I use Vista. Last edited by Roland Kuit on Fri Aug 12, 2011 1:32 am; edited 1 time in total |

thank you! very good stuff!
silly question number 1: does it work only by midi? i have no problem to use it but I want to use this emulator as virtual modulator: to learn and try.
It could be more easy to use a virtual keyboard...
thanks a lot |

Ther is something strange in mt audio dirver... if I disable the audio driver "idt high definition audio codec", the editor will work ... but audio is not active.
There are no update driver for my audio stuff. I should have more experiments

Kla, when you disable the audio driver, there is no sound. My settings are (MME)speakers(Realtek High Def). But the free Asio4all driver will do the job too. |

Why are you complaining? I thought you'd rather have a red hot poker shoved up your arse than face an Apple computer?! _________________ ACHTUNG!
