Hi paulstone,
I will try to post the info in the next couple of weeks. I have been out of town and super busy a work. There hasn't been much interest in the subosc divider so I have not been very motivated to post it.

Hi THeff.
I finally manage to complit the vco build.
I must say...I love it!
The square sounds very very good, specially with a bit of PW.
As you said it was easy to tune.
I have one thing with the Tri, the top of the Tri is not spiky like it should be, the spike of the Tri is in the opposit way arround, and I actually can hear this, do you have Any idea why it happanes?
Again, I thank you for this amazing vco.
Cheers,

Hi paulstone,
I'm glad you got the osc divider working, it's a great little circuit.
Isak,
I'm not quite sure what you are seeing with the triangle output but, it sounds like it is folding back on itself. I have never seen this on any of the eight boards that I built so I'm not sure what would cause it.
I can only suggest that you double check the components in the triangle section and make sure there are no solder splashes shorting the PCB traces since they are pretty close together.

| Is there any trim for the triangle? I've seen sort of similar things in other VCOs where the up ramp and down ramp sides of the triangle didn't meet correctly, normally there's a trim to line them up.... |

Yes, there is a trim, but when I trim it to be centered the top of the Tri is going inside and it's hearible!
Have a look!

New song Subject description: I made a new recoding today. |

Greetings all,
I haven't posted anything in a very long time so I thought I would drag out the PolyArp and see what I could do today. I found a MIDI file lurking on my computer with no name, just a number. It has a lot of cool arpeggios so I made a recording of it. All of the sounds are from the PolyArp, except the drums.
Since it didn't have a name, I called the song ArpAmbience. If you recognize it, please let me know.
Cheers and Happy New Year!

The Tri/Sine wave converter on the 2600 isn't perfect - it's not exactly a high end design. I have the same issue (a very slight overtone) on a perfectly cloned VCO/converter - I just accept it as part of the "character" _________________ Kronos 2-88, Kronos 61, Studiologic Sledge V2/SL, Broadwave ARP 2600EX, Broadwave 18U ARP based Eurorack Modular, Broadwave Minimoog Clone, GEM S2 Turbo.

THeff,
this is some awesome synthy stuff !!
I was searching around for Bergfotron info and ran across this thread. Love the demos. And that synth is so impressive. I'm just getting into synth DIY ( pretty experienced in general electronic DIY ) and Im putting together a few VCO's and power supplies to get started.
Maybe someday in the future, I'll borrow one or more of your ideas here ! |

Thanks stringsthings,
I wasn't sure how playable it was going to be due to the pitch drift of the four analog VCOs, but I am very pleased with the results. I made an attenuation patch cord so that I could plug a guitar tuner into the Sine output of each oscillator and that makes tuning fast and easy. I hope you build a cool synth in the near future.
Regards,
