Listening right now. This is SO cool!
How was this set up? Curious!
Are the two G2s playing both together? Or is only one playing at a time? How do they select new noodles to play?
Anyway, I love those noodles! |

Thanks for the kind words.
A little something about the setup.
I use two G2s, one is master, the other plays performances (patch player). I made 41 performances, and the master randomly picks one of those to play about once every nine minutes, futher more the performances have variations sometimes that are changed by the master, sometimes by the performance itself as well.
For covering up the silence that occurs on a patch change I routed the audio out of the player through the master. Just before a patch change occurs it will fade out the player and it will fade in some inter chanel sounds. After the patch change it will reverse that process. making the new patch audible.
All patches, except the master patch can be downloaded through the Noodle Radio site itself, but a lot were posted already on hte forum. I'll attach the master patch, a recent copy of it, the last one is in the G2 and I don't want to access that one now (to keep things as stable as possible :-).
When the master sends a program change that MIDI message is routed through the player to the computer as well (in a modified form, but still). This way the computer knows what patch is currently being played and it will generate a new set of webpages accordingly using a program I wrote for that purpose.
For beaming the audio I use WinAmp with some plugins. One is the "standard" shoutcast plugin to enable it to beam out up to five audio streams (only two were used, one for 24 kbps another for 64 kbps) to some shoutcast servers (that run somewhere on the electro-music domain).
the other plugin I use takes its signal from an audio to USB convertor and sets it as a pseudo track that is played by WinAmp. The Shoutcast plugin can only use the first line input it seems, that plugin can be found at http://home.hccnet.nl/th.v.d.gronde/dev/lineinWA2/doc/devices/index.html the standard shoutcast plugin, sas well as the shoutcast server can be found on http://www.shoutcast.com
the WinAmp setup is relatively easy this way, although there are some shortcomings, f.i. I could not find a way to dynamically insert totle updates into the audio stream (other than doing it manually).
