Let´s try this again |
 |
|
I thought I´d show up. In fact I thought this quite a while ago, I even typed a introductory post. A fairly large one. Then the board and/or my browser (Opera at the time) ate it.
Well, there´s a new browser now (Firefox) and so we´ll try it again.
I´m Kassen, I like making things go "boom" and "beep", particularly in ways they didn´t go "boom" or "beep" before. I live in The Hague which is good because I get to poke my snout into the Bunker and Creme labels that way, it also means I get to trick mr. Hordijk into drinking wine and sharing his secret tricks on a fairly regular basis.
I also like digital modular systems, at the moment the G2 and Tassman in particular, and hooking up weird controlers to those. I prefer analogue effects, tape and vinyl next up in the chain.
Apart from that I like video games, books and spicy food.
Now we pray this post doesn´t get eaten too. _________________ Kassen |

Hey, Kassen,
So glad to have you here!!!
I met you at the NM event in The Hague. You ran that wonderful Sunday afternoon jam and we had some great discussions earlier at Rob's place. I assume you've already seen the pictures (see http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-2663.html ).
Your introduction is a bit modest I think. For those that don't know, Kassen and friends travel all around Europe doing gigs in clubs, and they release lots of records - mostly in vinyl.
Anyhow, thanks for checking in. Hope you consider coming to the electro-music 2005 event in June.

Oh my,
this place is swamped with fellow The Hagueians, does this mean I should get out more? I know more Hagenezen online than off...
Well, welcome in any case!
Were you at the party last saturday at the Zuidwal?

Yes, indeed, I remember. I tried to get you to trade me a cd for a record.
Anyway, traveling is realy boring when it comes down to it so that didn´t sound like a good thing to write in a intro. Traveling is mostly about staring out the window for hours, not having space for your legs and way too few power outlets around. Making stuff go "boom" and "beep", now there´s a topic you can discuss! Lately I´ve been making stuff go "crackle", "hiss" and "twang" more too. :¬)
I had grabbed the pictures a while ago, back when they showed up and I made this account, it´s just that the board doesn´t like Opera which I used to browse at the time. Oh, and if you remember Danny? He was at the mod2004 event too, played micro modular and analogue delay at the beach thing? He signed up too, or so I saw. _________________ Kassen |

Sure, I remember Danny. He was very quiet. Give him my best regards when you see him next. _________________ --Howard

Yeah, I figured, but I also thought Howard here had only met you as Danny. _________________ Kassen |

Hi Kassen.
This is beginning to look like a Dutch get together.
Well... almost. |

Funny. I just reinstalled Opera because I had some problems with some sites in Firefox.
Never had any with problems with electro_music.com in opera.
Not even with all the emoticons that mosc uses. |

That's good to hear. I was going to download it and see how it works. Glad I don't have to bother... _________________ --Howard

Truth be told; I was using a older version of opera on a rather exotic (98lite) version of windows.
opera is nice but these days firefox apears to be a bit more on the ball. _________________ Kassen |
