I can not find the error location you gave (0081B57) Confused

Could you try to rename the file wren.ini to see if it will then start?

ok .. address was not 0081b75 but 00801b75 .. thats in my code .. seems to be in UpdateLights .. working on it now ...

I made a new release 2015.5.12.0 ... some new code was trying to access a synth patch that did not exist yet ... http://bluehell.electro-music.com/wren/forums.html I think this will fix it.

I did find a bug in the audio handling .. when it ever happens that there is no compiled patch and the audio stream runs the audio I/O processing will write out of the array bounds of the audio out buffer .. seems likely to be that .. on a slower system audio I/O may run before the patch got compiled. Also it would be worse with largish audio buffers, seeing your buffer size is 4096, using 512 or so here.

well, I was going to change the settings after startup but because it crashes instantly I don't get a chance to do that.
However I assume I can change it in the ini file ?
