Another juicy Synth-house jam taken from the Monday night live stream sessions. Sax, Synth, Beats.... Put it on and go for a rhythmic ride.

I really like this jam. Nice and funky, good space, for once I didn't throw everything in my studio on it. Also got some pretty serious imaging going on aka this is not a "balanced" mix. Really like the bounce that I got with the Bass Station II. I think the video is pretty fun as well.

This is a paid gig, albeit not a well paid gig. It's strictly a cut of whatever money I can beg, borrow, or raise. Sometimes it's decent, sometimes it's not...once or twice it's been almost good. What will happen is you'll have a great time, you'll see some fabulous performers, you'll make some life-long friends, and you'll definitely being stealing ideas and techniques. It's Official!

The Texas Loopfest is back - Oct 9/10 are confirmed. Check the website, www.texasloopfest.com, or FB page for updates.

We will be performing at King William Park for "A Day in Southtown" in partnership with SOUTHTOWN THE ARTS DISTRICT and at Hemisfair at Yanaguana Garden on the Splash pad. All times TBA.

First confirmed artists are Pedeplei, Lizeth Ruvalcaba, James Sidlo, and Widespread Noise.

What we're looking for this year: Serious and active performing artists, new technology, ethnic music and instruments, unusual tech/instruments, song-form performers, ambient performers, regional artists, and anything else that is undeniably awesome. There is a live video requirement: Cell phone videos are acceptable. We need to see buttons being pushed, and sound being affected. ALL of the fields in the form are required.

Due to the nature of the venues we have procured this year, we are NOT looking for avant-garde, noise, or provocative performance art.

Just checked out the Texas Loopfest page. I watched a few of the videos from previous years. Looks like a great event. Best of luck in getting it going amidst this latest covid surge.

That's a big concern of course. Hopefully, this will come and go quickly. We're gonna be a safe as possible. All the events are outside, and most of the acts are solo, so it's not a close contact environment.

Everyone is itching to get things going, and there's always the possibility of having to cancel. And maybe dealing with this is just going to be the future of events... who knows?

We're going to try and make realistic and safe decisions.

Pressure Cooker from Noah Peterson

This is 13:42 of tension. The sax doesn't even come in until around 8 minutes. The "vocal" is more of a narrative than anything. A literal reflection on the heat of the moment. While somewhat of a "dark jam" it's not overly heavy, it has a nice groove and movement with determination. Enjoy.

Noah, thanks for posting this Texas Loopfest video. Very interesting and enjoyable. I think we all can learn from you on how to run an event like this. Speaking to the artists and explaining what we will hear is very helpful. It's good to get some perspective on the artists' points of view before we see/hear them play.

I like your set very much.

When this Covid shit is finally under control I'd love to go down to Texas to dig the scene in person. In the meantime, videos will have to do.

Well... it's been a busy winter/spring. Haven't had a moment to get to much of anything. But we finally get this one out. I like it a lot. It's a happy little tune, with some lovely synth patches. Full and lots of layers. Let me know what you think.
