I moved this topic to the manuals forum, so it's amongst similar messages.

I was wondering where it went. Sorry, didn't see this section. I would like to have the owners manual, but the service manual may be handy also. I'm looking for some specs and details about some of the things on this unit. I.E. what volts the cv outs and triggers put out.

thanks

the cv gate stuff on the x911 is the same as the korg ms series. it's v/hz (not the more common v/oct) like the yamaha cs, paia fatman, korg ms. if you are trying to integrate it with roland, arp, moog, or other common synths you will need some kind of conversion.

...and the gate is s/trig (shorting), not v/trig (voltage).

I don't know if your hip to this soundlab stuff, but I was trying to use
the trigger for external gate(to no avail). Probably because of s\trig
They had to be different didn't they.

yes, if you need a voltage trigger, the x911 won't work without a converter of some kind. on the x911, the trigger shorts tip to sleeve. here is a copy/paste from a synth diy list (found using google). i think this was done by my friend mark. it may take some work to get it all straight. (it seems to distort a little in the pasting), the original can be found here (it's a little clearer).

...i'm not in the soundlab discussion at all, but someone should make sure this thread gets a mention there (perhaps it should be moved there, as the manual was not really needed).

You can find the manual here.

http://www.synthdiy.com/show/showproduct.asp?id=1706

It´s a bad scan from a bad copy, but the it might help. Schematic-Services charge 15 $ + delivery for a good copy:

http://www.schematicconnection.com/store/asp/product.asp?product=284&ph=search&keywords=x-911&recor=1&SearchFor=any&PT_ID=all

best,
Joker
