This topic is for pictures of modular synths. Please post mostly just pictures. If possible, be sure to indicate a link, an explaination and credit.

I'll start with this picture. It is one of the most beautiful synth pictures I've yet seen:

Gorgeous Serge analog synth built by Sound Transform Systems. Support stand designed by Mike Adjillian, manufactured completely out of aluminum. A sonic refuge when one tires of the computer.

i've always loved that one, too, howard. the color schemes on some of the others are fantastic, as well.

here's my contribution...

the ems synthi 100 ... co-creator of many dr. who sound effects and incidental music.

go to the site below and click on the different panels for close-up color shots.

It's a shame some of these links are getting stale. I gotta post this picture originally posted by Mr. Blue Hell on this topic. http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-3563.html

This is pretty amazing. Big modular synths can be resonably be considered decendants of organs like these. Well, I've never seen a ongan quite like this one. Absolutely amazing... Shocked

I do need to get some newer shots in there, esp. after I get my two Zeroscillators from Cynthia.

OMG, I need to hear that !!

See most pictures do have a few cables plugged for the synths, but your patch factor seems to be pretty damned high.

gee, I think that it's more expensive to buy all those cables than to buy all those modules Wink

i reckon that is the most beautiful synth/stand combination ever. for some reason it reminds me of Tarkovsky's Solaris.

I find it sort of scary. . .in a cool way.

Hey Morbius! Are you in East Tennessee or in Carolina?

East Tennessee... specifically, Sevierville. And I can tell ya, there's not much of a market for synth-music/players here. I suppose the Tri-Cites, Boone, and Asheville would the the happenin' places to gig. I know about Asheville, for sure. This part of East TN. is musically retarded... at least, after living in Memphis and a short time in Nashville, it sure seems that way. There's only two and one-half kinds of music here... Country/Bluegrass, Gospell, and some very tired Southern Rock. I long for progressive, all anyone knows is 100 ways to play 'Mustang Sally', and anything with the same chord progressions.

Woe is me. Crying or Very sad So, I guess you could say... I play with myself.
