It's been suggested that knowing the power requirements would come in handy when planning the Klee project. The power requirements can be found on page 3 of the build document. Here they are in a nutshell:

Quote:
Power Requirements

The electro-music Klee Sequencer has been tested using a +/- 12V power supply. It may or may not require an adjustment of the 6K8 current limiting LED resistors – 4K7 will work if brightness is an issue. However, the Klee has been most extensively tested at +/15V operation and it is generally recommended.

The electro-music Klee Sequencer draws around 100 mA per voltage rail at +/-15V operation, with a power dissipation of approximately 1.5 Watt per rail (3W total). A linear supply can be used, but it is possible to use it with an appropriate switching supply. In the case of a switching power supply, it is recommended that one use ferrite beads on the power supply lines connecting to the Klee Sequencer.

Issue 2 Build Doc

Issue 3 of the Build Doc has been removed - all of the below changes will convert a printed Issue 2 Build Document to an Issue 4 Build Document. If you have already printed an Issue 2 Build Document, and don't wish to kill another tree, print out the following documents and replace the listed pages. This will make it the same as the Issue 4 build doc linked at the top of this page.

Issue 2 Corrected Pages 88 through 89

State Machine created some BOMs that contain actual manufacturer part numbers, though this was done before a couple of slight changes were made after proto test. This is what Bill had to say in regard to the files:

Quote:
OK, here are the Klee Bills of material. Just add (1) 100K 1% resistor and (1) 1K resistor to the BOM. I forget which board that was for. The rest is accurate and should be fine. Also, the 100K 25 TURN Potentiometer should be part number 490-2876-ND for the ANALOG BOARD BOM
