The MFOS Ultimate looks great as well as Teknic's latest work, too. I am also impressed with droffset's simple mixer -- a very neat layout on perfboard. (My own perfboard work tends to be a little bit "unweildy".)

I'm just finishing up a CGS Modulo Magic module and will post a pic once I have it up-and-running.

The chips that I needed for Modulo Magic arrived -- they are installed and the module now works properly.

A new CGS40 Modulo Magic module lives!

The top case is my original Aries case with space for 11 3"-wide modules.

Originally the synth was housed in three separate cases -- two 11 module cases and a home-made wing case on the left that holds the green switches, etc.

In 1983, I did away with the three separate cases and a woodworking friend of mine built the single case that houses all the Aries Modules and the left panel. I made no effort to make the inner dimension of the case a multiple of 3" -- I never expected to add anything to this synthesizer.

For the moment, my new modules are housed in one of the leftover 11-module Aries cases -- within a couple of months I will replace this case with a new case with an interior width to match the bottom case --
50 9/16 -- just short of 17 3"-wide modules. The Klee sequencer will be be the leftmost module -- and it is intentionally sized to fit the space (11 9/16"). Thus, all the modules will line up vertically across the synthesizer.

Teknik, your panel lettering is gorgeous -- how do you do it?

This is a finished Filterbox, I did for a friend. 2 x CGS Steiner Parker VCF, with LFO and a Phase invert, for nice modulations.
The other unit a Studer 169 EQ Clone from parts I had laying around, very sweet, but ghetto style case.

i finished this one in laaaaaate 2009 when i was on xmas break from class, hope it still counts... its that orange thing. this is a shot from a recording session. Also in there, the diy stuff at least, if a modded casio with a full blown array of filters and lunneta style oscillators built into it (no circuit bending), and the green/black wired thing was an experiment gone wrong and now is a simple passive mixer.

the orange thing is on top: baby10 sequencer, with pulse driver, then controls and outs for the baby10, then some 555 noise oscillators, and then some more lunneta stuff, with a terrible(?) build of ray's wsg filter.

Heres me using the orange thing and current improvised set up at rock and roll performance featuring mostly "metal" and "hardcore" music in Oakland, California.
The promoters were nice enough to allow my noise troupe, Chief Grand Cherokee, to open the evening with a mood setting blast of harsh noise. Hurray for Art!

This is just about the nicest modular synth I've ever seen, diy or commercial.
