Well done,
you've inspired me to finally put my WSG in a box.
I'll get started on it tonight. Smile

Hi all !
I´m Joan from Barcelona, and new here,
I built the WSG two weeks ago, is a really cool synth, I´m amazed.
It found his home ,inside a old 5´25´´ Seagate hard drive that I picked from my town´s recycling plant .
I´ve also just finished my SoundLab ,not externally yet (no definitive front pannel) but fully operative.
Here are some (not specially good quality) pics.

What a great use for an old disk drive. Excellent! Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

Thanks very much Smile I'm very sorry, but I've been working on the website recently, and didn't notice that this got lost. I've uploaded the pictures and mp3's again, so take a look and listen. Hope you enjoy it!

I breadboarded the Wacky generator today. It certainly *is* a lot of fun.

I added a mod to control the filter cutoff with the Zany frequency generator. I put up a couple of samples of it here:

Great samples! I've gotta get myself a solderless breadboard so I can actually experiment with stuff.

Hey Scott,
Grab a copy of Ray's schematic editor and give us a pic of what you actually did to make the looney control. Well you don't have to, but I'm thinking that most people (including me) won't actually give it a go without a schem.

Uncle K, I just put up the schematic. I didn't post it last night because I was working wiht a +15V supply and wanted to make sure it worked OK at 9V, but it's there now.

I've also added a twang switch to the Loony function - I posted some samples of it as well.

Today I swapped the VTL5C2 with a VTL5C3 - quite a difference!

I posted some samples of the thing with the VTL5C3 on the page.

Cheers,
Scott

O.K. heres a pic of the WSG finally got it boxed up. Did some "circuit-bent" type mods. Those sliders are spdt switches so I made some random contacts that do different things. Still not sure if its working properly or not. It makes plenty of noise,. but sometimes depending where the pots are turned others pots don't react fully, but hey its still fun, I'd like to make another.

take care have fun building

I'm back after a long time just to show you guys my latest step into the synth diy world...
I've finally found a way to box my WSG...
I know it is a bit too serious for a WSG, but you know... I like it this way... Surprised
