I agree...
I like to use this small amp while taking pictures just because it is really small and battery powered, like the rest of my system...
BTW, when I play my little machines I usually plug them into a bigger and more powerful amp... much more enjoyable...

WSG done...but sound fades out! : ( |
 |
|
Hi every body!!...im 21 years old and live in bogotá....i have build the WSG from the musicfromouterspace page and used the Lorenzo's PC board, i did all the process from play around with virgin board, markers and construction of the WSG box....it really works.and sound great but i have a problem.....the WSG sound fades out after a certain time of use, so i have to turn off and on again the WSG every time that sound fades out...i dont know why it happens(note: the LED always is on, even the WSG sound fades out), i tested the voltage given by the battery and its ok...i do not understand,,why happens......i wish you could and want to help me... thanks for your time..Bye bye. |

Colombia .. remember some pretty good weed was grown there
(sorry was listening to some /very/ old Pink Floyd (summer of '68 ), must have brought me in a mood or something)
Anyway, hope you'll get it working now. _________________ Jan

Hi
Do you know if it is possible to add a noise generator to wacky, zany, weird project?how could it be add?

yes
connect noise output to -
point 1 of R1
or if you build the filter:
point 1 of R3
but you may want to ad a potentiometer - to adjust the amount of noise

first of all: thanks dnny
Could I add to soundmaker a simple white noise generator like this?
why I should connect noise output to R3?Yes I've built the oDNESS cUT oFF fREQ, but I didn't use a second circuit (I read that I've to use R3 from second circuit if needed)..so I think I should connect noise output to point 1 of R7.is it ok?
bye

that noise circuit of yours is kind of "second circuit" so i think you should try it first thru R3 (1M) and if the signal is too weak or too loud adjust the resistor value or maybe ad a potentiometer and "noise on/off"-switch or push button ... _________________ Association of experimental electronics

please you correct me if I mistake:could I make this connections?
Should I repeat the soundmaker circuit using the 3 inverters that are left over if I use R3?
You pardon me if I am not expert of electronics
I'm here to understand
and build!

that noise wiring is OK. try first whit 100K pot and if the signal is too weak try substituting R3 whit 500K resistor...and so on until you get what you want.
you don't need to repeat the circuit - but if you like you can - and then you need to ad R3b (another 1M resistor) _________________ Association of experimental electronics

wow!
The noise wiring it's ok! I thought to have made one mistake....
tnx dnny for your suggestions.....Today I'll try to ad noise gen.
as soon as possible I will post some audio sample of mymfirst WSG |

hi
i came across the musicfromouterspace site a few weeks ago and decided to try make a wsg using Lorenzo's pcb layout that was on the MFOS site.ordered some stuff off the net and did most of the work yesterday but there was one of two things that i was a little confused about.
one thing was the switches
i got spst switches and the ones on the pcb diagram are a different type.i guessed about the wiring of one of them but am a bit confused about the other.i put up a rough picture here ( http://i3.tinypic.com/11h8lz5.gif )
i couldn't get a ceramic capacitor for C10 which was meant to be 1uf.
could i use an electrolytic 1uf or a lower value ceramic cap?
if i used an electrolytic cap which direction should the negative be pointing?
any suggestions would be great
cheers |
