More cord colors! |
 |
|
Nobody has done a new wish list item for a while, so maybe it's time.
Last night, as I was trying to debug an enormous patch, I found myself wishing for more cord colors, so as to more easily hide different parts of the patch.
At least a few more user colors, please! Black, lavender, brown, gray.... |

| I can see the use for more chord colors, but the most useful compromise might llie in shades of chord colors. audio cables could all be red, but maybe an option to make some light red or dark red. that way the function of them is still obvious, but the group they belong to is as well. |

yeah, more colors for modules!
i'm not sure why were weren't given access to the windows palette... even 256 colors would be nice! |

| yeah, I'm going to have to jump on this more module colors band wagon. I find myself using only shades of gray, red and blue (since the other colors don't really agree with my eyes)...more color tones would be useful. |

Yep, I vote for more cable colors. That would be very useful.
And, absolutely, there should be more color selections for modules! I think that the current pallette of pastel colors are a bit weak. How about black or dark colored modules with white, yellow, orange, bright red, green or blue text and markings! _________________ varice |

cord colors: I actually don't use them that much...
module colors: I would really like this, the current pallette is indeed a bit weak, some darker colors would be nice, or like cebec said, why not 256 colors? |

| anyone like the look of the 'hidden' modules and the Classic's last editor? it was more three-dimensional. how difficult would it be for Clavia to provide both GUIs? that would probably help those who are put off by the lack of contrast and limited color palette. |

Well, the hidden modules which i found in the editor are easy to replace, i have some modified editor lying around somewhere (i removed the background to a more minimal one, and removed that va/fx text on the corresponding areas).
Just open up the editor in a "resource tool" application and edit the gifs/bmps

hmm, not sure why all the modules viewable in the resource tool are 3D looking. i sure would like to have these instead, though. there are also some nice high-res looking meters, too. lots of cool stuff. a lot of the modules you found are missing, now, though, unless i'm doing something wrong.
also found this:
under a heading called 'Synth port'
36 {Modular G2}
37 {Modular G2 61}
38 {Modular G2 Rack}
39 {Modular G2 Engine}
i wonder what a 'G2 Rack' is?! |

Multi colored cables, green with red and yellow rings on it?
All is acceptable, only not those moving cables like the Artauria Modular Moog, with that 'mouse wind'.

And how about setting Default module colors, or zones within the patch.
Modules in Coulmn 1 would be color X, column 2, color y, etc.
Where the user could have some slideable control at the top & bottom of the window (like tab stops) that would define a Column, or group of module colors. |
