i used NKK switches. they were expensive.
633-M201101-RO
633-M201301-RO
633-M201201-RO
the nice thing about these is that the bat handles all match. small consolation.
you can save some money if you get mountain switches instead. |

bridged with 1K works ok |
Well, maybe not the most scientific fix but I would do this:
1) Remove the wire from the lead into the MANUAL STEP switch, not the ground side.
2) Connect one end of a 1K resistor to the switch terminal you removed the lead wire.
3) Connect the other end of the 1K resistor to the lead removed from the switch.
This will put the 1K in series with ground, the value that worked when bridging the switch.

thanks everyone!
I'll post more as progress is made. Hopefully a video at some point. I'll probably also put a build diary on the blog as time permits.
thanks again

perhaps at Analog Heaven North East? I'm going to try and get myself out there. Mostly because I wanted to meet you and see your demo.

Hi guys, I wanted to order the mountain switches ON-OFF 108-0001-EVX and a similar ON-OFF-ON but I did a mistake : I ordered the ON-OFF mountain switches 1055-TA1120-EVX and the ON/OFF/ON 1055-TA1135-EVX.
In my opinion they are worse than the 108-0001-EVX. It's more hard and rude to move the switch, and the stick dance to the sides (sorry my English). Also I opened both the 108-0001 and the 1055-TA1120. They are similar but the 108-0001 is better built.
So, I don't recommend the 1055-TA11... moutain switches. Also they are more expensive than the 108-....
One question:
What difference is within ON-OFF-ON switch and ON-OFF-(ON) switch? |

Maybe one side is momentary and returns to center OFF and the other is not ??? Thats the only thing I get from that ... Anyone else take a crack ??

| I would agree with you Bill. The selection in parentheses is momentary. |

Great Klee Photon! Very original. Looks like it would be really fun to play as well. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |

thanks Unc.!
Quick question while I have you on the line...whats the mounting hole spacing on the 2 boards?
Neither metric or inch seems to line up evenly.

I have two questions
1) Say that you have the rotary switch range at 5 position. The step potentiometers are limited at 1V that means one octave. So , if one step pot is at 12h Is it an exactly half octave?
2) Why the Klee sequencer is designed without a Clock? |

Pretty much so, yeah.

I figured there was no room left for the spring and gears.
No, actually it was to break the paradigm of thinking it needed to be rhythmically clocked. You'll notice it can be triggered by nearly anything. I figured if one wanted to put a clock in it, one could be added with little trouble. Later, when doing the PCBs, it just never occurred to us to put one in. Woulda been convenient.
Cheerio,
