Wow a.b.o.z - that is a great looking panel!

Are those bananajacks the cheap ones from futurlec? Are you having trouble with them coming loose from the panel, I mean you tighten the nuts, but after plugging and unplugging for a while, the nuts on the jacks start to come loose. I have that problem...

Man, I really need to start thinking about my Klee as well...

I'm not really sure what I'm doing. But I love to design front panels..

It's designed to fit onto 2 pieces of 42HP eurorack frontpanels. I realize after looking at the awsome panel designs here that mine has a few flaws (Some places I didn't know if there was a pot, led or a swtich.. but I figured I'd get to know that eventually, and redesign afterwards..). And the double rows of LEDs come from me being tired and watching youtube (I thought I saw 2 rows of LEDs, but apparently not). Anyway I thought it could be cool to have the lower row just show the actuall step of the sequence, and the upper row the active bits.

Anyway - I'll probablt remake it once I get the whole project started.. Can't wait |

I drew mine with Visio, and it's rather plain at that - maybe someone here has an FPD or something along those lines? _________________ My Site |

I was designing the front panel as a module of 84 hp. 3U.

I see, eg, fonik, is also 3U but for stand alone in the rack. What there is behind the front panel? Any standard case? |

i am using a schroff multipac pro rack enclosure, i bought it from rs-components (order number 469-1105). i used such an enclosure for the baby10 as well. you can use more panel space than using an eurorack frame (no srew rails on top and bottom of the enclosure). _________________

the enclosure consists of the frontpanel, a back panel and two side panels. one will have to order additional top and bottom covers and a mounting panel as well.

schaeffer would engrave a panel you send them. since i wanted a green anodized panel for the klee it was easier for me to let them do a new panel (the old is now resting in the drawer waiting for a future project). so i'd say i had to pay about 200.-EUR for the complete klee enclosure _________________

You should try some of this stuff (usually found at auto supply stores):

http://www.loctiteproducts.com/products/detail.asp?catid=10&subid=48&plid=695

Threadlockers

Loctite® Threadlocker Green

# Prevents vibration loosening of pre-assembled fasteners

# For use on electrical connectors, instrumentation, screws, and set screws

# Ideal for fasterners #2 - 1/2"

Also comes in "red" (hi-temp), or "blue" (not sure what it's strength is). |
