Mine arrived today. Your usual super efficiency. And no postal nonsense, small envelope, very discreet. How nice. Thanks as usual. Now all I have to do is find time to build them. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Then it's true?! they are moving from north to south pole
I'm trying to work out whether TL072's are worth getting in bulk or not? Any suggestions people? I'm sure this has been pointed out. I just have a head like a sieve! _________________ ACHTUNG!

i think I'm going to need a metric shitload of them. might be worth thinking about a group buy, if we wanted to get north of a hundred or so, we could maybe shave the price down a bit. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

cheapest I've found so far is 14p each (inc. postage), but then I haven't looked very far. Rapid are selling them at 33p each _________________ ACHTUNG!

reichelt.de sells the tl072 for 0,15€, but they don´t give discount on large quantities. postage has to be added.
banzaieffects.com sells them for 0,26€, but if you get 100 it´s 0,17€, if you get 250 it´s 0,14€. they also sell the obsolte tl072ip, a low noise version, for 0,36€...
so, if there is interest in a bulk order: banzai is located in berlin, and i´m quite often there to get parts, and i need some myself, maybe we can sort something out like a "small" group buy. that means i wouldn´t announce this officially, but if there is interest in this thread, i could get them at banzai and send them out. no shipping costs would be involved from banzai to me, so it would be just shipping costs and packing from me to you, which is approximately 3 euros within europe, plus the parts, of course.. all this of course just makes sense when we reach at least 100 pieces. i for myself will get 20-30 pieces.
by the way, banzai also sells some delay chips, ne570, xicon greenies, and other cool stuff. worth checking out...
if there is interest, please pm me.
best wishes,
tobias. |

that´s why i brought up banzai and offered to get the tls in large quantity if needed
btw, matthias: can you recommend some connectors which can be put in line? i´m using the same ones you do, and it would be a shame to solder wires directly to such a nice looking board...
best wishes,

Hi,
This may be a silly question (probably )
Can you have five channels (as on Schematic)? rather than 4 (as on your front panel Fonik)
I'd like to use this with the Doepfer Vocoder modules you see and 5 would be better than 4,
Thanks

@ matthias
cool. thank you
@usine
sure you can. i guess fonik just uses 4 channels just because of space issues?
best wishes,
tobias. |

don't panic! yes, the PCB provides 5 channels, i just used four of them for my module.
there are many options to think of: i.e. one could use 4 channels for attenuvertion without the offset voltage normalled to these inputs, and then use the 5th channel just for an offset function (without the in/out sockets on the frontpanel). _________________
