hi luke,

no, i bought them at a german online store... but they look almost the same.

for the manufactured PCB you would need headers that could be put in line, just like the ones from rs-components i mentioned earlier in this thread.

I'd sign up for at least 2, and maybe 3 or 4, if there is another run. I had too many other projects going on when the first run was made. I've been regretting it since because I could use bunch of these now.

thank you so much, boys. Very Happy
there won't be a 2nd run in near future, though. i want to encourage everyone to do it on proto- or stripboard instead, since this is an easy low part count circuit and you could modify it to your very own purposes.

OK, I just about finished building up these things, had to grind the connectors down on a sheet of emery paper because I didn't read the thread w/r/t the little plugs being close together, I am an idiot ::rollseyes.gif::

A question though - does anyone have a link/location for 50K pots with a centre detent, like the balance knob on a stereo? It would be cool to have these if possible.

Thx.

Just thought I'd share this layout idea for a normal-less banana plug Frac rack version of the mixer.

I added a sixth input (aux in) with no scaling. Aux in and channel one are always in the mix out and toggle switches allow adding a couple more channels to the mix.

I hardly ever need to mix 5 CVs together and this provides several useful configurations.

Found 'em. Mouser has them, I typed "50k pot center" into their search window and got a hit.

Hello, quick question, I was just wondering if I could use 47K lin pots instead of 50K? Much easier to get for me, but would it affect the circuit?

I'm sure I've read somewhere that they are practically the same...

Any help will be most appreciated!

I don't think you'll notice the difference. Pots are not terribly accurate to begin with.

i did no measures myself but the mouser catalogue states a +/-20% tolerance for 16mm alpha potentiometers Shocked
to partly balance this i implemented the trimmers.

he he. an attenuverter gives both: attenuation of the original and the inverted signal. say pot in middle position: no signal, pot clockwise: original signal, pot counterclockwise: inverted signal. in other words: each channel allows you to invert and/or attenuate the signal...

I don't really get this from your schematic. It looks like the signal is just attenuated, inverted and then mixed, right?

EDIT: No, wait! now I get it Razz

PostPosted: Sat Jul 12, 2008 5:35 am    Post subject: interest in a 2nd run? Reply with quote  Mark this post and the followings unread

some people asked for this. so if there would be enough interest i could do a 2nd run.
50 PCBs would be enough for me to start it.

again, this is a simple but nevertheless very useful and versatile module. it is a nice project for beginners as well (as long as they are already in possess of a modular Wink )

so what do you think?

I'd take two. I've regretted not getting in on the first run.
