Well I'm not from the Czech republic, and this is big money for me too. But it has been almost 10 years since Clavia released the Micro ( ) and when the G2 was bought out (which I cannot afford either), there was no micro. Only a rack, and I really detest rack stuff. So no incentives there.
But as for OS's, Clavia need to make money and a new product will make more money than an OS update will. (You need to study how cars are manufacturered, then you will understand this vital business strategy). But who knows? If Clavia bring out a G2 micro, maybe it will have a new OS update too? _________________ ACHTUNG!

10 years? Really? Wow...
I remember reading a review of the micro in a magazine on a train (you always remember where you are when something important happens), didn't know about Clavia or Nords at the time, and i thought something like: Now this is the business!

I'm trying to imagine what I might want from Clavia next, that they haven't already done spectacularly, and that no-one else has done in a way that would already satisfy the need.... and coming up empty!
A G2 with PC connectivity that allows it to use Reaktor and Kontakt for sample-based and granular synthesis?
A Nord Lead with 16 oscillators and 200-voice polyphony?
Redrum 2?
I've got it! A red guitar amp simulator! Oh, er.... |

are you implying a joint venture between Clavia and Propellerheads (makers of Redrum, as part of Reason)
or maybe you meant ddrum2 _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Sorry! Yes, ddrum2 -- I think ddrum, I think Clavia, I think red, it all boils down to thinking Redrum but of course... that's a different brand. |

Two things:
1. A new synth that incorporates wavetable, FM and subtractive synthesis
2. An new software update for the Stage
No updates for the Modular |

Not meaning to be rude, but I'm not convinced at this moment that simplesatisfaction has more reliable inside info than the hints & rumors on this and other forums. Am I correct simplesatisfaction? _________________ Spinning at ~0.0000115740740741 Hz |

I realized it was my bad when I looked up the Musikmesse dates.
BTW, my prediction (I forgot which, thread, which forum, but the search function here is pretty good) was a Clavinet emulator, since Clavia had already done piano, analog synth, FM synth, and organ emulators. Also Wout already said "no more organ or piano emulations". |

Hasn´t Clavia btw been doing semi-hired work lately? In the same vein as that Waldorf-CME synth-on-a-card device? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

There's already a pretty good sample-based Clavinet in the Nord Stage. |

Well, look at the history of the Stage vs. the Electro. They already had a piano emulator in the Electro and yet they continued refining the piano emulator by releasing the Stage, yes? Same with the evolution of their organ emulator (Electro vs. C1). |

I would love to see clavia produce a nord g2 micomodular groovebox. That's right. If you could combine a machinedrum and the nord modular g2 together...please
I think the possibilities would be extreme, I would buy three. |
