They just released 3 organs, I think they know they're due for some serious synthesis. And long overdue for some drums (despite the ddrum sell off).

If Wout says it's not another organ, it's not another organ. So, perhaps we should not worry about another organ? He's got connections, or so I hear... Cool

A new electronic drum based on Wavedrum technology would kick some serious bootay! Cool

Korg abandoned the Wavedrum, just like Yamaha abandoned hardware FM synths. Clavia similarly taking over this technology would be awesome, just like they added FM to the G2.

Wout, it's a wavetable synth. Wavetables seem to be hot again, what with Waldorf back alive and Access doing their thing as well.

Either that, or it's a Monomachine/Machinedrum competitor.

Instead of a synthesizer or sampler why not a re-synthesizer like the old Technos Acxel Resynthesizer.

But as far as I can see this would be to expensive... But it would be interesting if they develop anything like this in combination with something like the JazzMutant Lemur...

However... as mentioned in this tread by Wout:

It's a synth, with (for Clavia) some new features!

Well, maybe somebody is just pulling my leg and it appears to be another organ, without the Hammond... Smile

an organ is pulling your leg? Smile

I have no idea what we'll see at the messe and I am happy to wait ... since the g2 makes me perfectly happy (and now that I have the DSI evolver permanently rigged in a send/return config, I have a new filter and new possibilities)

I'm with you there! I have an idea for an external app for the G2 but need to study some things first, like how to operate the G2X, how to operate the Editor, etc. Although for the sake of my Mac brothers and sisters, I'd like to see confirmation of Universal Binary compatibility and/or necessary code updates to make that happen.

Btw, I found a patch which credits "Dasz" as the author - inside the G2X keyboard! Seriously, I haven't even used the G2 Editor itself. I forgot what patch it was but I do remember it sounding very nice.

Yup... there's about 30 or 40 patches i did for the g2 factory soundset some time ago ... they all end with _DZ ...

I'm glad you like the patch ...

I'm assuming that the 'smiley' is a sort of wry nod?

Perhaps it's monophonic? (nothing to do with the smiley of course Very Happy ), 'cos there's all that emphasis on 'lead' in the title? Idea The Swedish answer to the Moog little fatty?

One day to go Evil or Very Mad
