Probably not..
Like.. in the old testament they were collecting real foreskins.. not virtual ones. It seems likely that foreskins and oscillators adhere to the same rules.. right?

The more foreskin you have, the more modulation you get in heaven?
Speaking of skin, mine is crawling. The Sonic|Core SCOPE XITE-1 arrived! However, the Laptop ExpressCard is somewhere in DHL land.
Time to rebuild this old desktop so I don't have the world's most expensive paper weight until the new interface arrives. |

The only disturbing issue here is the name SCOPE XITE-1. Sounds like some kind of swedish made advanced probe for consenting adults. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

it's not in perfect cosmetic condition, but it all works and sounds lovely and was decidedly inexpensive _________________ Jez

I just bought a DX27 with one missing key for £12! (about $18 )
Shame it wasn't a vcs3 from a skip outside the university, but I suppose those days are long gone. _________________ ACHTUNG!

A beer and it´s yours. Ups.. the Solina.. arrgh no.. but I hope he has given it to someone more needy. Like you? Keep in mind that I got the Eminent 310 Theatre some years ago.. that´s a Solina string on steroids and Viagra.
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/may07/articles/eminent310.htm
It´s noticeably a tad bigger than the Solina though. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

A good number of 310s went to the garbage dump when people figured out that they had been tricked. These instruments were sold in Norway as home organs and eventually most customers found out that this was not quite true. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Set of 4 Percussa AudioCubes.
They're getting a bit of use whilst I figure out what to do with them. I took a set and Ian has the other, we're comparing notes.

I got ...er... a Monotron. It finally arrived, rather. I never owned an analog synth that had such an aggressive filter and such a fast LFO. Yay! I always use feedback loops to generate delay repeats on the console (instead of the feedback knob on the unit). My fav trick so far is to slam the monotron somewhere in the loop, filtering the repeats. I have a fascination for the electronic music sounds of the fifties...
I wish I met people working on a black & white retro-sci-fi movie so that I could do the authentic sound effects for it.
Also, I found in the garbage two speaker stands in a swanky neighborhood. All brushed steel, thick! They were an absolute 60lbs pain in the back to carry home but damn do they look sweet where they are now. Very stable too, they have lots of inertia. |

The RS-1 looks nice. I know it has Midi Sync but does it also output CV and gate ? _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

I sold stuff because I didn't really have room for it all
Unfortunately (or not) I now have more room as I have the whole house to myself! So I have gone a little crazy of late, but mostly only smaller stuff
as for the RS-1, it's great fun and has CV and gate, but the knobs have such a wide range it's really hard to tune, so unless you patch it through something to quantise it it is probably better fro weird noises _________________ Jez

I bet that's a nice box! (No Axe-FX for you then?)
It would be interesting to hear what you think of the Eleven.

Nope, no Axe-Fx. Even in the current sale it costs well over twice what the Eleven does. I can get the Eleven, a Midi Murf and a Hog and still have money left over for beer.
I am just after a box to go out and play live with without using a computer really and was quite impressed by some of the youtube clips of the Eleven and not very impressed by the Axe Fx videos!
Two other things that made me go for the Eleven are that it has knobs on the front and also the fact that it changes the impedance on the input socket depending on the first unit in the module chain, this can also be set manually.
I have not played with it too much yet, I connected it up by the USB interface and that works well, no niggles at 96K with a 64 buffer on my mac.
When I have played with it a bit more I will post some info in the strings forum
Cheers

I got $25 and some clothes that I don't need. But I did dig out my old guitar and started playing with it, so the day was not a total loss. Mostly I've been sleeping a lot hoping to pass the time until it's no longer Christmas.
