Nice one Jez. Smile

The MicroMoog has been on my wanted list for quite a few years now. In fact I'd be quite happy if it were my only analogue! Very Happy

it's very nice, I think the only thing I'd like more is the multimoog

StringStudio, Strum Acoustic, Strum Electric, Tassman (FM), Lounge Lizard (electric piano), Ultra Analog (analog synth emulator) ... 6 physical modeling tools for $450, fits an academic budget.

I had StringStudio on an Alienware machine that died some years back, generated MIDI for it by decoding MIDI guitar in software and generating the StringStudio accompaniment. Used it in a talk/demo at EM2006. I could get some pretty good auto-improved bass lines and explosions. I missed it when the machine died, now I got it back on my Mac Very Happy

The relationships between MIDI arrival rates, notes off etc. and the attacks and other physical properties of the models usually take some loving care to get to sound clean and nice, but (like most things), with a little work, it's possible.

Looks like I reached my upload quota on the pic Confused

EDIT: Got rid of some junk.

I'm buying back my old Vox AC50. Got rid of it in the mid-90s when I was in financial straits, but now my mate sadly has got problems with his fingers, so I'm buying it back. I'm REALLY looking forward to gigging with it, as I'll be doing more band stuff the next couple years! Cool

I first bought it in -82, had to let it go around -95, I'm overjoyed to get it back. The pic in my previous post is not my actual AC50, but I'll get a pic on here once I've got it home...

Very nice!
It looks awesome!

BTW.. a tuner/frequency counter that could be refitted to a panel in a dotcommie? Anyone? Possibly the tuner could get it´s own panel though.
It would be nice to have a good frequency meter/counter device mounted in a panel.

Although not a frequency counter as such, the Turbo Tuner could easily be built into a panel. It displays the frequency of the reference notes, but not the frequency of the input signal. It's the best tuner I've found. They've also got it in a new alu-housing, but I can't find the URL right now.

I know that unit. It is tempting for what it does, but I reckon I actually need a proper frequency counter. My old mid 80s device just died a horrible death. No magic about that smoke. It burst into flames like Coventry. So much for old gear with built in PSUs.

Anyways, this time I reckoned it would be nice to mount one in a panel.

I have an old Technics electric piano. I'm keeping it for one reason: to someday gut it and use the case and keyboard to build my own eclectic synth. A bunch of VCOs and stuff as some folks just mentioned here would be a good start for this project.

If you want a scope and a frequency counter, then those ARM Nano DSO thingies are cheap as chips. Still leaves you without a tuner though...

Oh, I want to be modulated! I better finish that FPGA based Additive synth I've been pondering - 92k oscillators can't be wrong! Twisted Evil
