I just picked this up while it was on sale at www.sugar-bytes.de. There's supposed to be a free update coming out on Dec. 31. I'm having a blast with it so far. I figure between this, my Techno Toys Seq-303 and the Klee software version (when I get it) I'll have all the sequencing I could ever want (for software).

Ok, I think I might be turning into a software sequencer junkie. Just picked up our own Klee software sequencer!

@ Dan - I'm going to be putting some time into it over the next few days. I think the unique thing about it is the compositional aspect compared to Thesys (which is a fantastic sequencer in it's own right) I would recommend downloading the demo - and definately read the manual! I can see it being very powerful as a performance tool - just a quick change of a knob and you can get something totally different.
@ Jez - I used to have an RNC - very nice compressor! _________________ Dave

Ah yes - I have a DX11 with about 20 missing LFOs! Er, no, wait, that seems to be the actual spec. Having only 2 LFOs to share between all 8 voices rly sux.
Proper micro-tuning though...

So what? The DX11 is probably the best sounding 'budget' FM Yammie out there! Better than that TX81Z rackmount bollox _________________ ACHTUNG!

I don't have this head - Yet ! mwhahaha!

Nice, man!
@Symatic, it's a bit hard to see in a pic, despite the large size, but there are sliders for octave below, 2 octaves below, octave up, 2 octaves up and other intervals (octave + 5th for example). You control the mix of these intervals with the sliders. You can store them in presets but then you'll need a separate preset footswitch unit to access the presets.
There's also some envelope and filter control, and a bunch of other stuff packed into this powerful pedal. You see the Exp Pedal jack? Plug in an expression pedal, and you can do whammy type effects, volume fades, etc.
I've heard a bass player do a solo set with a HOG in his pedal chain. Very nice sounds.
Oh, and check out the EHX HOG site and all of Bill Ruppert's demos of this pedal: http://www.ehx.com/products/hog _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

The Hog is indeed pretty cool, though I should say that it will take some practice and talent to accomplish what Bill does in his great demo films.
The main part of the Hog is basically a bank of pitch shifters (called voices in the manual), hardwired to octaves, two down, four up, a fifth, an octave+fifth and two octaves+fifth up, plus the original sound, making up a total of 10 voices. The pitch shifters output a nice sound, though you can hear the characteristic pitch shifter artifacts on upshifted sound. The built-in filter helps remove the artifacts a bit.
Along with the expression pedal and the seven modes there are a bunch of fun things you can do - the demo film on Electro-Harmonix site by Dan Miller (follow GovernorSilver's link) describes them pretty well.
I haven't played with it that much yet, I'm planning to see what happens with song and synth sounds. _________________ Antimon's Window
