Thanks, I understand now.
But I think I will keep the design with just the single "mixed" gate output.

Hello

Here is a WIP of the BOM for the M185 sequencer, there
are also a handful of resistors and diodes that are hardwired
to the switches and pots.

Wow! This is really compact, considering all the functionality. I already have a sequencer, but I wouldn't pass up this PCB if it's offered. Really great work.

Ain't a 6-position slider switch "enough" for repeating mode ?

something like this : mouser 506-SLS260PC

3.84$

Do you mean the counts per stage switches ?

This is currently working with 1-8 repeats, so you could use
this switch, but only getting 1-6 repeats.
The wiring on the SLS260PC switch would be a little fiddly as
it is not a straight 1pole 6way.

Probably using rotary switches is a good route as you can easily
find 1pole 8way.

The mode per stage switches needs to be 1pole 4way.

yes !

rotative switches will take more space on the frontpanel...
a complete second row as for cv potentiometers.
farnell has cool cheap little boxes with aluminium panel (210mmx125mm/8.25x4.92)...

In fact I wonder if a 1pole 4way would be enough, same as for the mode per stage switches. I guess number of counts per stage often vary between one, two and three, maybe four sometimes in a sequence.
"this is how I usually see a bassline..."
can it be a real drawback ?

maybe higher counts per stage numbers are useful for longer note ? or "pause" in a pattern ?

It kind of depends at what beat-division your clock is running at.

If you're driving the seq. from 16ths [all the leds on a 606] then you
will definitely need 1-8 repeats.

I've set a jumper on the board, so you can divide-by-2 the clock pulses
which might help.
I guess count some clock pulses of your intended music, and
see if it's going to fit.

Hope that helps.

Hello

Here is an update on the project.
The design has been finalised, with two new features !

The CV stage control has been added, with a 0-10V buffered
input.
Also a switch selectable subdivision for gate repeat mode stages
which outputs gate pulses every 1, 2, 3, or 4 clock pulses
independently of the selected repeat amount.

The boards should hopefully be shipping in about 2 weeks.

There might be a possibility of including some 8way switches
with the kits, will let you know.

Here is an updated BOM including the panel components.

Hi Ryktnk,

MUCHOS GRACIAS for the cv stage selection and the subdivision.

I am upping my order to 6 pcb's with switches please. Paypal is waiting for the go-ahead, thanks.
