I have no idea who the author was, as someone emailed me the file, but is the attatched panel the correct (and final) layout for 5u units?

The .fpd file is titled - m_185_ver32_192[1].fpd

Thank, Julian

It was originally done by lexvortex who sent it to me to tart it up a little and I sent it back
I know lexvortex had one made so maybe ask him how it worked out
there are some photos in the thread somewhere try page 13

Im just in discussion with Dave (Lexvortex) about the MOTM format panel design -

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

He has advised me -

"Everything fits well on the panel, the only things to be aware of are whether you are using V1 or 2 of the software, one requires the CV in and the other does not and would require a name change under CV control section. also the LED size is not MOTM spec."

He added -

I would also bring the writing over the buttons down closer to the buttons and for the clock in out I would pull that up a bit, but those are just cosmetic things that are a personal preference.

Looks like I'm going to have to join this queue as well, as if my project stack wasn't big enough already.

Put me down for two sets of PCB's, PIC's and switches please.

Regards

Magman

Ryk,

I will take one set of switches.

One set contains all switches for one module--yes?

Will you PM when you're ready to take payment? It can be hard to follow exactly what's going on in a long thread like this.

A quick question, the panel designed by lexvortex included a slider switch for the stages, but the panel by ryktnk has a rotary for this switch. Is a slider included in the switch parts kit for the stages switch? I'm trying to design a Frac/Euro panel and would like to know.

On that note, I'm contributing the Euro and Frac panels as a WIP. The Frac is essentially identical except for the panel size. The Euro is 42 HP, but the Frac had to be in a 6 module wide panel (9 inches). You can take the Frac or Euro, double them, and fit them in a full 19 inch wide panel, too.

The panels are derived from lexvortex's panel. Thank you very much for the panel! It was an excellent starting place and made the job quite easy. Basically, I just flipped it by 90 degrees and moved/rotated a few things.

Please be warned, these panels likely need tweaking; hole size for pots (I'm using the 12 mm Alpha with a 7mm + a bit hole size), the LED's may need to be moved a bit depending on the LED choice, etc. And, since I haven't built it or mocked one up yet, I can't guarantee clearances. that said, hope it helps someone.

I have just cut a 5u (MOTM format) panel for my own system, on David Afonso's design, taking into account his proposed changes to the lettering position etc. mentioned previously.

The result, produced with Dave's permisison, is below -

Posted Image, might have been reduced in size. Click Image to view fullscreen.

This panel is for the V1 software, in addition to having custom hole sizes for 3mm leds, without a skirt. I personally prefer the non-infilled panels, hence the lack of infill in the photo.

I will cut production panels with standard LED hole sizes, and for the V2 software's panel components.

The cost would be GBP £45 per panel

The pricing is exclusive of shipping / card fees, but inclusive of all EU taxes (unfortunatly not refundable for export orders)
Panels will be produced in batches, and shipped from the UK.

If you are interested please pm me directly with the following information -

*name + email address
*what country youre in
*how many panels (5u, v2 design) you would like
*how you would like to pay (sterling / euro transfer @ 0% or credit card @ 4.4%)

If there is sufficient interest, i may open this offer to euro / frac panels too.
